Hi, I’m Lauryn 🤍

I was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina, and photography has been part of my life since I was about 15 years old. What started as a creative outlet quickly grew into something much deeper, a way to connect, to notice beauty in the everyday, and to preserve the moments that matter most.

When I first began, my business was called A Thousand Words Photography. As I’ve grown, both personally and creatively I realized I wanted a name that felt more like me. That’s how Wandering Ryn Photography was born. It reflects my heart for authenticity, connection, and capturing life as it naturally unfolds.

🧩 Uniquely You

A space created for families with neurodivergent children and children with disabilities. This is about celebrating individuality, honoring differences, and capturing your child exactly as they are, without expectation.  Every child deserves to be seen, understood, and celebrated!

🌿 Where Hope Grows Project

A storytelling experience centered on the journey to motherhood.  Whether your path includes waiting, loss, IVF, adoption, surrogacy, or surprise blessings your story matters.  This project is about documenting resilience, hope, and the quiet strength it takes to grow a family.

I approach every session with intention, warmth, and attention to detail. One of the things that truly sets me apart is my experience with children. Working in childcare centers, nannying, and ABA clinics have given over 15 years of hands-on experience with kids of all personalities and needs. I understand how to create a calm, comfortable environment where children can feel safe to be themselves and that’s when the most genuine moments happen.

Photography isn’t just about taking pictures for me. It’s about preserving feeling, connection, and the little in-between moments you’ll want to remember forever.
